Hydraulic failure forces aircraft to make emergency landing at MMIA
By Our Reporter

The airline’s spokesperson Tony Usidamen, said the aircraft made the landing when the pilot discovered the aircraft had hydraulic pressure failure.
He said the pilot informed the control tower, which cleared it to land at the airport’s runway.
Aviation agencies, including the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), mobilised emergency fire trucks, ambulances as well as an evacuation bus to convey the passengers.
The aircraft was cleared at the runway and aviation authorities closed it for operations, until FAAN towed the aircraft out of the runway.
But the evacuation did not disrupt other flight operations.
The incident occurred at the peak period for the arrival of international airlines.
Usidamen said there was anxiety among the passengers when the evacuation bus was delayed.
