Gunmen kill two in Shehu of Borno’s residence, market

SUSPECTED members of the Boko Haram sect yesterday attacked the private residence of the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Garbai El-Kanemi at Bolori area of Maiduguri and killed  a resident in the place.

Also, the bandits killed a trader((name withheld) at the Maiduguri Monday Market (MMM).

The victim in the Shehu’s house, according to an eyewitness, was said to have relocated from the palace in Shehuri area of Maiduguri to Bolori because of a threat letter he received from  suspected Islamists.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Gideon Jibrin said that it was true that some suspected gunmen attacked both the personal residence of  the Shehu of Borno in Bolori area and  the Maiduguri Main Market.
