President Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to appoint former member, House of Representatives, Faruq Adamu Aliyu as minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The group, Friends of Buhari Regime, in a statement by its Director General, Engineer Abdulrasheed Ahmad Imam said since political appointments were usually done based on individual’s competence and trust, Aliyu should be given a chance to contribute his quota to the nation’s development.
“As a coordinator of Buhari campaign in Jigawa State, Aliyu has played a great role in the success recorded by APC in the state.
“Aliyu has been a frontline campaigner for Buhari since he joined politics in 2003. He campaigned for Buhari in the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC),” he said.
Aliyu possesses all the qualities and the required experience to handle the affairs of the FCT minister, the group said.
