The ‘Arala’ of Benin Kingdom, Chief F.B. Omolawa Osula, has appealed to Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, to forgive Edo people, particularly Edo South Senatorial District for not voting en masse for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate in the March 28 polls.
Osula explained that the people had mistakenly exercised their civic duty for the opposition party in the March 28 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The Benin chief, who belongs to the Ibiwe N’ Okhua Eghaevbonore, lauded Oshiomhole for his landmark achievements in terms of governance in Edo State.
According to him, “The state Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has performed meritoriously, especially in respect of infrastructural development; before he became the Governor of the state, many roads in Benin were impassable”.
He said the Governor has also excelled in the educational sector, adding that many schools – primary, secondary and even tertiary – have been reconstructed, rehabilitated and even built many during his administration.
“It has therefore become very necessary for him to come out to appeal to the Comrade Governor on behalf of all the people of the state and charged the people to prove the opponents wrong by supporting the government of the APC to achieve more for the state as the state has aligned with the government at the centre.
