Five Killed in Maiduguri

Those that were killed include, two persons at Zuwa Da Wuri Hotel in Gwange Ward of the ancient town and a classroom teacher. They were said to have fallen prey to the bullets of the fundamentalists during an attack at about 1pm on Friday on a residence and the hotel popular for selling of beer and other liquor.
Thursday’s attacks according to police source were at Abaganaram market, Kofa Biyu area of the town.
Speaking on the Friday’s attack, Ibrahim Isa, a resident, said: “as we prepare for the Jumat Prayers we started hearing gunshots at the hotel, and we saw people running, and some had to quickly lock their shops and market stalls and ran for cover.
