What appears to be a crisis of confidence is brewing in the hierarchy of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with the first casualties likely to be the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu and the National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh.
We reliably gathered that President Goodluck Jonathan, the leader of the party, is not pleased with Muazu, Metuh and some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and may likely show them the way out, whether or not he wins the presidential election.
The cabal is behind allegation that the party leadership had betrayed the Jonathan’s second term bid, and that they have not done what they should to ensure that the PDP gets hold of substantial votes from the northern part of the country, especially from the north east zone where Mu’azu comes from.
Facts available to Peoples Daily revealed that Mu’azu, despite being the chairman of the party, is being accused of failure to sway enough support for, and sell the Presidential candidate of the party to the people of the north particularly his home state of Bauchi.
